Community-District Based Mediation

Now there is a solution!
Our mediation program may be able to help. We can set up a mediation, a chance to talk face-to-face, be heard, and find a resolution. This is a free service of the city. The OIPM will provide trained mediators to facilitate.
The OIPM Mediation Program is now accepting referrals for neighborhood disputes that may be resolved through mediation.
“For example, disputes around noise, parking, property lines/fences, lighting, garbage, pets, etc. This could also be for families, business owners, or neighbors who have other types of conflict within their community. The goal is to use mediation to save police resources and help people find a sustainable solution.”
